Insha Allah (With God's permission), the Melaka State Mufti Department strives to meet customer needs as follows:

Written inquiries (Fatwa)

Written inquiries received from customers regarding an issue that requires a Shariah ruling/fatwa will be answered/responded to within 14 days from the date the inquiry is received.

Response target: 14 days

Fatwa Committee applications

Applications to obtain the Fatwa Committee's views/comments on an issue will be answered/responded to within 14 days after the committee meeting is held.

Response target: 14 days after meeting

Certificate issuance

The Melaka State Certificate of Authorization to Teach Religion/Al-Qur'an will be issued to successful applicants within 14 days after the certificate received by the department is signed by the Council Chairman.

Issuance target: 14 days after signing

Extension / Renewal

Applications for Extension/Renewal of the Melaka State Certificate of Authorization to Teach Religion/Al-Qur'an will be processed and delivered to the applicant within 14 days from the date the application is received.

Processing target: 14 days

Shariah Officer interviews

Interviews for candidates for the Melaka State Shariah Officer will be conducted within 30 days from the date the candidate completes the course.

Interview scheduling target: 30 days

Official visit responses

Response letters to customers regarding requests for official visits to the Al-Khawarizmi Astronomical Complex will be delivered within 7 working days from the date the application is received.

Response target: 7 working days

Calculation data & schedules

Calculation data regarding the determination of the beginnings of Islamic months, the calendar and prayer timetables, and schedules for breaking fast and imsak will be confirmed at the appointed times.

Qibla verification

Requests for determination or verification of the qibla direction will be carried out within 30 working days from the date the application is received.

Planetarium shows

Planetarium shows will be presented on time as per the confirmed screening schedule.

Information requests

Requests for information related to the affairs of the Department and the Al-Khawarizmi Astronomical Complex will be processed within 7 working days from the date of receipt.

ICT complaints

Complaints about ICT services managed by the department will be actioned within 7 working days from the date the complaint is received.

Prayer reciters for official events

Requests for prayer reciters for official events of Government Departments, Statutory Bodies and private organizations will be answered within 7 days before the event is held.

Payment vouchers

All payment vouchers will be processed within 14 working days from the date of claim receipt.

LPO & Service Orders

Local Purchase Orders (LPO) and Service Orders will be processed within 7 working days from the date of receipt of a complete purchase request.
